Last week, I published here on the blog the Summer Concert Series line-up, promoted by Good Morning America in Central Park during the spring / summer season – if you did not see the post, just click here. The good news? It is not just Good Morning America that gives us the chance to see free concerts: NBC’s Today also has a very similar proposal, Citi Concert Series.
As the post title suggests, the performances are free – no, there is absolutely no charge. At the Today’s stage, artists like Selena Gomez, Adele, Shakira and Rick Martin have been performing. Let’s take a look at the lineup this year? Most presentations rolls on Fridays, but there are some dates that are in other days of the week.

5/27- Dierks Bentley
5/30 – Fifth Harmony
6/03 – Luke Bryan
6/10 – Nick Jonas

Performances take place at Today Plaza, which is located in Rockefeller Center on 48th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenue, outside studio 1A. Access is free and open to the public – first-come, first-served basis. And that means getting up early – production asks the audience to arrive around 5 am (remember that Today is a morning show) and the presentations begin around 8 am.
A limited number of reserved Fan Passes are available by advanced registration via a digital lottery system. For each concert, Today will send a Citi Concert Series on Today Newsletter approximately two weeks before the concert date announcing the lottery sign up is open, providing information on how to sign up for a Fan Pass. You must be registered for the Citi Concert Series on Today newsletter to request a Fan Pass. Sign up here. After entering the lottery, Fan Pass recipients will be notified via email approximately one week before the concert and will receive instructions on attending the concert.
