Eating in New York City: what you really need to try here

I bet many people are already trying to kill me for bringing so many delights suggestions to try in New York, right? Hahaha, I understand, I understand, but think on the bright side: dining experiences enrich your trip and you can spend the calories walking a lot exploring the city. This is the fourth edition of this post, with classic delights of the city.

Cheese Wheel, Basta Pasta – neste restaurante que mescla culinária japonesa e italiana, um dos carros-chefe é este macarrão, que,  já cozido, é colocado dentro de um enorme queijo parmesão para ser servido. Depois, pode ser incrementado com complementos como tomates frescos e presunto de parma. Delícia, hein?

Cookie shot, Dominique Ansel – a chocolate chip cookie is served like a glass, with , is organic and cold-infused with vanilla beans for 24 hours. This is another creation from chef Dominique Ansel that is already a tradition in the city.

Cheesecake donut, Dough – Forget Dunkin’ Donuts: check Dough, that offer one of the most famous donuts in the city. There are flavors like coffee, passion fruit and cheesecake –  Cream cheese frosting flavored with a hint of orange zest and pure vanilla extract, dusted with a graham cracker topping.

Goblet, Sugar Factory – Lollipop Passion is a drink with melon, coconut and pineapple mixed with vodka, Bacardi Rock Coconut and Midori Melon Liqueur.

S’mores fries – McDonald’s announced some days ago that it plans to sell French fries with chocolate toppings in Japan. But, did you know that chocolate-covered fries have been available in NYC for several years? Sticky’s Finger Joint sells S’mores fries on its regular menu. The $5.51 side dish consists of classic fries tossed in S’more sauce, topped with crushed graham crackers and mini marshmallows, garnished with parsley.

Fried Oreos – Americans have a love affair with Oreo! Proof of this is the amount of products in the markets that take the biscuit as the main ingredient. Here in New York, there is a very unusual delicacy: fried Oreo. Yeah. One of the most famous places to find it is Jacob’s pickles.

Nutella Late, Eataly – comprised of Lavazza espresso, Nutella and milk, this drink is a delicious excuse to skip your diet. Remember that Nutella Bar has another delights with Nutella, such as pancakes, crepes and waffles.
