If you follow me on Instagram (follow me @laura_peruchi), you probably saw that I’ve posted about the new Bloomingdale’s outlet store, which was opened last Saturday, in the Upper West Side, New York. I was invited for the pre-opening for press on Friday, but I could not go … But, I’ve been there on Saturday to check out and to tell you all the detaills.
This is the 14th Bloomingdale’s outlet store, and the first in a major urban center. It has 3 levels and 25,000 square feet. The product mix includes women and men apparel, accessories, shoes and handbags with off prices and famous brands. In addition, it is located in the Upper West Side, which easily accessible by subway – there is a station in front of the store. On Saturday, the opening day, the place was crowded and people waited in lines outside to get in the store.
Bloomingdale’s outlet store features brand like Burberry, Theory, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Calvin Klein, Diane Von Furstenberg, Alice + Olivia, Kate Spade, Michael Kors and Ugg, with great discounts. The women’s section takes two levels of the store, with contemporary fashion and luxury pieces, with many many items. In particular, I found the selection very good, with cool clothes and lots of variety. Speaking of accessories, there are handbags from brands like Calvin Klein and Michael Kors for $153. Sunglasses mix is great, with brands like Kate Spade (from $69), Burberry (from $99), Marc by Marc Jacobs (from $69), Coach (from $79 ), Versace (from $129) and Gucci (from $129). There are beautiful watches by $39. I loved the party dresses section, with maxi and short dresses – an interesting variety, with gorgeous outfits and fair prices! Winter coats section is also nice, with a lot of styles and brands. All the shoes are separated by sizes, which makes easy to find something for you. For men, there is an entire floor with casual clothing (jeans and T-shirts), winter coats, suits, ties and shirts (for $50), of famous brands.
At the end, I can tell you that my visit was great! I really liked store organization, and especially the selection of products. I think it is very worthwhile to check out the store. Bloomingdale’s outlet store is located at 2085 West 72nd Street. You can use 1 subway line to get there.
