I always give tips of products, of stores that are interesting, I record videos suggesting what to buy here… The Big Apple is a true beauty paradise, it is impossible to deny it. Today, I decided to list stores that are very interesting for who work with makeup. Makeup artists often need far more supplies than we, “normal” people.
Kryolan – aWith over 70 years of history, Kryolan is one of the most respectful brands among makeup artists and opened a store some months ago here in NYC. During all this time, it has created and perfected 750 color-intense shades in over 16,000 products, which are currently used in more than 80 countries in every continent worldwide. Formulas are highly pigmented and color-intense, also very long-lasting. Foundation palette is one of the favorites among makeup artists, because the variety of shades (12 and 24 colors), that can be mixed to match all the skin tones. And the Dermacolor line is one of the famous ones, because it is waterproof, recommended by dermatologist and covers all, from skin anomalies to tattoos. Kryolan also offers an extensive selection of products for body makeup.

Make Up For Ever -Despite being available in Sephora stores, the French brand created in 1984 also has its store in NYC. Make Up For Ever products are developed for makeup artists, but are available to anyone – which means quality for all. The brand doesn’t do excessive marketing and prefers to focus on the effectiveness of the formulas, textures, and choice of colors. At the store, you can have a distinct experience, and you will notice the professional appeal on all lines. False eyelashes of various shapes, huge portions of glitter and pigments for face and body. There is also a large variety of eye shadows and a mix of foundations shades.

Mac PRO – In addition to traditional stores throughout New York, MAC also has a PRO store. At the location, you will find the classic collections, which are found in all stores, and you can also buy the Pro line, for professional makeup artists. Obviously, there are items that are interesting only to those who work in makeup, but you can also find different colors of eyeshadows and lipsticks, only available at the store. It’s good to emphasize that the store is not crowded as the other MAC stores. And everybody is welcome.

Inglot – This brand, with over 30 years of history, founded in Poland is now one of the world’s largest companies in the makeup segment. One of the company’s goals is to offer high-quality professional products at an affordable price. The products are the result of the combination of prime ingredients, with intense and vibrant colors. The product mix is huge and here is a critical fact: Inglot pigment is 99% pure. Most of the market pigments have around 40% to 50% of purity. No surprise that the brand works in partnership with the Broadway plays. And, it is worth remembering that high pigmentation applies to all products – take a look on the color of blushes and the foundation coverage. Inglot has a location at Times Square, but the other one, at Chelsea Market, is way more complete and interesting for makup artists.

Alcone Company – Alcone Company started its activities in 1950 as a pharmacy that used to sell cosmetics and also false eyelashes for the cast of Broadway shows. After so many years, the philosophy remains the same: providing the world’s best makeup products at affordable prices. At their tiny store, you will find products from brands such as Kryolan, Embryolisse, London Brush Sigma Beauty and Kevyn Aucoin. This is a store that concentrates on the professional public: it sells products for Broadway crew, TV, for makeup artists and all experts working with artistic makeup. Crown Brush at Mattése – founded in 1984, Crown Brush is one of the oldest and established companies in the brush market in the world. Crown manufactures and supplies brushes to more than 80 countries. The brand has a huge space at Mattése, with great variety, including sets.
