Some days ago, I was walking in the area of 59th Street, near Bloomingdale’s and a store caught my attention: it was a New York & Company‘s store. It is a kind womenswear fast fashion. I had no time to check out the store that day, so at home, I checked the website and I liked what I saw. I was surprised to see even a collaboration with the actress Eva Mendes, a collection of unique pieces. The prices were good and I decided to go back there with time, to see everything. And I liked. So I decided to talk about the brand here.
New York & Company is focused on women’s fashion, as I mentioned earlier. There are clothing, accessories, and shoes in a two-level store. Now, all the stores are working with spring/summer, the pieces are all for this season. What caught my attention in New York & Company store was the strong presence of very colorful and cheerful prints – it is not very common here, you know? The clothes also seem to be for a more adult audience – no teen pieces. There are dresses and super stylish skirts with shapes that value the body. There are also a lot of midi skirts as well as shirts, jackets, shorts and blouses.
Accessories section has items such as necklaces, earrings, bracelets and tiaras, as well as sunglasses, watches and handbags, not to mention the shoe section. I thought that the prices are fair – not to mention that there is always a sale going on!
Speaking of clothing, what most caught my attention was the denim section: pants were beautiful – I loved the flares, I wanted to take all! The New York & Company store in Manhattan is at 715 Lexington Avenue, lines 4, 5, 6, F, N, Q and R. If you want to have a better sense of the items and prices, just check out the website.
