There is no way to visit New York and resist to drugstore shopping. Makeup, hair products and skincare shelves are filled with good brand options, quality and affordable prices. But many people get lost with so many options! I had made a post of this style here on the blog – just click here to read part 1 – and now I brought more products that I like and I would buy again!
Infallible 24HR Lacquer Intense Gel Eyeliner, L’oréal – I love gel eyeliner – I believe that, compared to the versions in pens, the gel formulas are easier to apply, does not require hands as firm. This from L’Oreal is well pigmented, good length and the brush that comes along works fine. It has four colors: black, brown, graphite and navy blue. $ 9
Age Perfect Glow Renewal Facial Oil, L’oréal – before you look at me with a doubt look for me being indicating an oil to the face, you have to know that this type of product has become classic. There are several facial oils and they are famous for rich and concentrated formula. And no, they will not leave your skin oily. It takes only a few drops. This, from L’Oreal, is a favorite of my mother and my godmother, they love and have used two glasses each since I took to them. Its formula is super moisturizing and it can be worn around the neck as well. $ 20
Quick Dry Sunscreen, L’oréal – after I found out the sunscreen spray, I would not hear of something else! They are very practical to apply and make this ritual much faster. This one, from L’Oreal, has a super light formula and fragrance, dries very quickly and is non-greasy formula, besides being water resistant. $ 10
Photoready Insta-Fix Foundation, Revlon – I love foundation on stick format! The cool thing of this type of product is that they are super practical: you apply directly in some parts of the face and can spread with brush or even with your fingers. This, from Revlon, has natural coverage and is ideal for day to day. $ 12.
Volumizing Spray, Paul Mitchell – It should be used as a leave-in on clean and damp hair before the blow dry. It provides much volume to the hair and also helps hold waves in a fantastic way! $ 13.
Advantage Acne Spot Treatment, Clean & Clear – we often have pimples now and then, right? Spot treatments products are great for this kind of emergency. This one, from Clean & Clear, has formula with salicylic acid, a potent ingredient against pimples. It considerably improves the appearance of them within hours. $ 8.
Eye Tech Perfection Liquid Liner, Milani – various brands have launched their versions of liquid eyeliners in this innovative format. They can scare you at first, but the anatomical design makes the application much easier, believe me! And the Milani is the most affordable! $ 6
Eyebrow Push-up Bra, Nyx – a good makeup will never be complete without defined eyebrows. This pencil duo of Nyx is practical because besides the natural finish, it has the side light-colored, ideal to highlight the area below the eyebrows. $ 7
Hard as Nails, Sally Hansen – Sally Hansen has a name in the market and is known for the quality of its products for nails. Line Hard as Nails is very good: in addition to being excellent coverage, duration on nails is amazing! $3
Soft Matte Lip Cream, Nyx – matte liquid lipstick is a strong tendency – which by the way will remain for a long time. This line of Nyx is great: it has wonderful colors, an amazing coverage, fast dry and very hard on the lips. Do I need say more? $5
And do not forget: despite the title contains the word “drugstore” – because these products are known to be found in these places – the cheapest place to find these items in New York is in Harmon! It has a post here on the blog and a video showing the comparison. The only product you will not find in Harmon is the Paul Mitchell spray – it’s available in CVS.
